PNW JET Alumni Association
Greetings from the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the JET Program Alumni Association (PNWJETAA)! We hope that you and your loved ones are healthy and are doing well!
For over 20 years, PNWJETAA has supported ACRS by sponsoring a team and raising funds to support those in our community who may need a little exta help. ACRS plays a vital role promoting social justice, the well-being and empowerment of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) individuals, families and communities by providing a vast range of culturally appropriate and linguistically accessable services in over 40 languages.
Especially now, in this even more challenging time of uncertainty and need created by the COVID-19 pandemic, helping families close the gap between paying their rent, purchasing prescription medication and covering other expenses, thus enabling families to remain healthy is more critical than ever. ACRS uniquely offers nutritious and culturally familiar foods like rice, tofu, fish, bok choy, fresh herbs, noodles, etc. Of the many programs offered by ACRS, the annual Walk for Rice fundraiser to support ACRS’ Food Bank and Emergency Feeding Programs has been very special to our members. Even in the best of times, when we were not experiencing a lack for food, all JET Program participants (JETs) can recall the positive impact that eating something familiar from home made in our mental well-being and happiness.
Here are 2 ways that you can choose how to participate!
- Sign up to walk with PNWJETAA with whatever donation you can give & ask friends & family to sponsor you, if they are able! OR
- Support one of our team members by making a donation in their name!
