Walk for Rice 2021

PNW JET Alumni Association

Please join the Pacific Northwest JET Program Alumni Association (PNWJETAA) as we help raise funds and awareness to fight hunger in our community!

Thank you for stopping by our page!  The Japan Exchange & Teaching (JET) Program is one of the world's longest running and largest cultural exchange programs, which invites people from around the globe to live and work in Japan.  JET Program participants engage in grassroots exchange in communities across Japan through language and cross-cultural education.

Rice is definitely a staple in the Japanese diet as well as an important ingredient in many different cultures' culinary traditions.PNWJETAA is proud to participate in the Walk for Rice, which has become an important annual cause that we have supported since 2009! Help us not only put food on the table, but healthy and culturally familiar ingredients, which will nourish the body, power the mind and comfort the soul!

Please join our team this year as the Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) presents its second virtual Walk For Rice!  Last year JET alumni, their family members and friends were joined by the Puppy Brigade, the Kitty Corps & the Bird Battalion in the battle against hunger. As this year's event will be virtual again, we are able to once again extend an invitation to all critters great and small and human friends from near and far to join us in our fund raising efforts!

New fun food challenge for all of our team members this year...

Spread some "gohan happiness"!

In addition to your fund raising donation (anything will help even $5!), please share your favorite rice inspired recipe! We'll collect and share all the recipes, as we receive them! We'll let you know where to send your recipe, as soon as you sign up!

Please join PNWJETAA as a registered team member or

sponsor one of our members TODAY!

Stay safe and thank you for your generosity!

With much love & appreciation,

~Yuki the Dog, Honorary Captain of the 2021 PNW JET Alumni Association Walk for Rice Team
